About The Founder

Mr R Vengadasalam, better know as Coach Venga, is a household name in Singapore’s footballing scene. He is a pioneer change maker and is an admired maverick of the sport, best known for founding Woodlands Wellington FC in 1996 and then going on to break records including full house attendance for every match and impressive win streaks.

Coach Venga put together Woodlands Lions Football Academy (WLFA) as he is a strong believer of elite football and mentoring the youth to play that level of football. He identifies the sport as a successful way to keep youth out of trouble and deems it his duty to do so whilecontributing to the development of local football.

For children between the ages of 5-16*, WLFA provides premium footballing education at various locations around the island. Our priority is to encourage your child’s passion by equipping him or her* with teamwork, determination and the technical skills required for the sport. WLFA will help your child and you grow and build memories like no one else in the game.
